A Portsmouth-born woman celebrated her 100th birthday at a party with 75 relatives and friends.
Louisa Dean, who lives in sheltered accommodation in Milton Keynes, was born at her family home in Prince Albert Road, Eastney, in 1908.

Louisa, whose maiden name was Stubbington, later lived in Lake Road, Portsmouth, and Melville Road in Gosport before moving away from the area. Her husband, Sydney, died in the 1970s.

The couple had four children, Syd, Frank, David and June, who were all at the party at a Milton Keynes hotel.

Syd said: 'It was a great family reunion. Four relatives travelled from Waterlooville and one of mum's grandsons brought along his band to provide the music.

'She got out of her wheelchair for a dance with one of my brothers and was still at the party at 1.30am!'
