The fans were congratulated for playing an important part in generating more than £3,000 for the football charity campaign Score Ethiopia.

The former Liverpool and Watford star, pictured below, collected signed shirts from all Premier League clubs as part of a week-long 'Van Dash'.

The kits were auctioned off to raise funds for Wash & Go's Score Ethiopia campaign, aimed at delivering 'no fuss' football and educational facilities as well as water amenities to the Gondar region of Ethiopia.

The bids were put into a new-look Premiership table, with Pompey eleventh.

After the table was revealed Barnes said: 'We all know how much money is flying about in football and the pricetags clubs put on players.

'But the auction from the Van Dash has been fantastic because we get to see how valuable the players' signatures are in the eyes of the fans while raising money for a worthy cause.

'We really appreciate everyone's help along the journey, the clubs, the players and managers, and most importantly the fans.'

Tottenham's fortunes on the pitch were mirrored in the alternative table with the north London club remaining rooted to the bottom. Liverpool came out on top.
