Portsmouth supermarket undergoes £4m revamp
A Portsmouth supermarket which is undergoing a £4m redevelopment is set to unveil part of the works.
Asda in Fratton is building a new rotisserie, pharmacy, fish counter, an extended health and beauty department, and new George fashion and homewares department in addition to later opening hours.
A 13,000 square foot mezzanine floor, which will temporarily accommodate George and homeware departments, will be unveiled to shoppers this Sunday.
General store manager Paul Allen said: 'At Asda we make it our job to listen, and many of the new store changes have been introduced following direct feedback from our customers.
The complete new-look store opens on September 8.
