Supporters travelling on a flight from Gatwick on Tuesday were treated to a special surprise by the pilot.
With hundreds of fans on board, the pilot decided it was only right that they had a bird's eye view of the stadium where Pompey will play.
So he flew over the Estádio D. Afonso Henriques to give fans a taster of what they could expect when they watch Pompey play tonight.

Joe Webster, who was a passenger on the plane, said: 'We arrived here from Gatwick and there were 150 people on the plane.
'It was a fantastic atmosphere.

'Everyone was singing at the beginning but then it went a bit quiet.
'But then the pilot took us over the ground so we could see it – that woke everyone up and when we landed we gave him a standing ovation.'

Tim Butcher, 43, from Southsea, travelled to Porto from Stansted airport. He said: 'It's the first ever trip abroad. I'm going to make a holiday out of it. I thought Portugal would be quite nice. It's surreal, I never thought I would be doing this. I think it will be a brilliant atmosphere.'

Stan Pearso, 55, from Havant, said: 'It's brilliant to be in the UEFA cup. We booked it straight away, straight after the draw. We booked the flights before we got the tickets. It's brilliant as England fans going to Portugal but going as Pompey fans is special.'
