Also perfect for commuters, this Hampshire village is only a 20 minute drive to the bustling city of Portsmouth and sits on the doorstep of neighbouring Waterlooville.
“It also provides the gateway to the Meon Valley and South Downs National park,” says Graham.

Denmead is determined to protect its village heritage, however.

“The area is protected from the large new developments which are happening in nearby Waterlooville by the ‘Denmead Gap’,” explains Graham.

“This is a strategic piece of land which acts as a buffer enabling Denmead to retain its semi-rural village charm and character.”

There’s plenty of charm in the properties available too. From modest sized to large executive properties, Denmead has a large selection of homes for families of all sizes.

“There’s a home for everyone within Denmead,” says Graham, “and always a high demand for property.”

According to Pearsons, property in Denmead start at around £230,000 for a two-bedroom house, and based on sales agreed by Pearsons in 2016, the average sale price was more than £300,000.

Denmead appeals to many different types of house buyers too, according to Graham.

They are attracted to “the sense of community, combined with a popular local primary school, excellent daily shopping and health cater for every need.”

The village is a busy little place too. “Within the village is a busy social and recreational calendar with a flourishing community hall,” adds Graham.

“For the young and the more active, there are various sports clubs which include youth football, tennis and bowls.”

Walkers and cyclists can also explore the nearby historic villages and countryside.

“But what is it that makes Denmead special? It’s the perfect combination of countryside and convenience of a large town.”
