Prince Boateng has revealed his disappointment at Paul Hart's Pompey sacking.
Hart yesterday paid the price for 10 defeats in the opening 13 matches of the Premier League season.

The former Blues boss was told of the decision late yesterday afternoon, hours after taking training.

The hunt is now on for his replacement. In the meantime, Boateng has spoken of his regard towards the man who brought him to Fratton Park in the summer and helped resurrect the 22-year-old's career.

He said: 'I'm shocked, especially as I had a good relationship with the manager.

'He brought me to the club and helped revive my career.

'I have spoken to a few of the lads and we all feel sorry for him.

A lot has happened over the past few months, with players not getting paid and people from outside the club hammering us.

'Paul tried his best to keep the players together and persuade them to give 100 per cent.

'I am very upset because it is easy to blame the manager. If we lose a game, we get changed and go home and life goes on but he gets sacked.

'It's not fair.

'Nobody in the dressing room was talking about him getting the sack and even in training yesterday he was normal.

'He was talking about the Manchester United game and how to stop them. It is not ideal preparation when we are playing one of the best clubs in the world on Saturday.'

Life isnt fair Kevin but when you talk to the players about how many points we have on the board then you each need to take responsibility for his departure

You are paid to play football not comment on board decisions....if you all had done that before then PH would still be at the club. Take some responsibility and work harder for the next guy in the hotseat.

Sorry 'Prince', but I htink most people will feel that it was fair.

Paul did a job for us last season in keeping us up and was in a dreadful position when taking over full time. None of us would question his 'heart' and commitment to the team, but there were a number of reasons that he needed to go:

1. Too may izarre substitutions during matches.
2. Tactically inept
3. Not enough understanding of the attacking side of the game at premiership level, rsulting in the attackers not being in positions they need to be at the right time.
4. Possibly a little too outspoken about the lack of communication from the owners. While we're all frustrated that should probably have stayed within the club, not in the press...
5. He's unlucky. Not his fault, but in the words of Napoleon, "I dont care if he's brilliant! Is he lucky?" and Paul certainly isn't...

Most of his major failings are during match time, which would lead me to think that he will make a great coach, or possibly number 2, probably at CHampionship level.

All the best Paul.

I think that`s what he is saying isn`t it you pair of muppets? He's saying it's unfair that the players just carry on as usual while the manager gets sacked - not that the board has acted unfairly! Maybe try to ignore the misleading headline and think about what has actually been said in future.

If you had scored that penalty rather then passing it to Sorenson then he might still have a job.

The players should take the blame for the sacking nobody else!

So Prince Kev was 'shocked' was he?
The decision has been about as inevitable as Chelsea or Man U winning the league.

I think you need to start practising taking penalties, KP. My gran could have taken a better penalty than that feeble effort on Sunday, and she's been dead for 25 years, bless her. RIP.

I feel sorry for Paul Hart. His hands were tied by the idiots who were supposed to be running the club. Good luck, Paul.

Sorry to say but its you who actually lost his job for him, if you had scored the penalty....he would still be here, how can anyone who plays football for a living miss a penalty, if i was as good at my job as you are at yours....i would get the sack, simples.

What was unfair was the whole country watching the lame penalty miss that frankly I could have hit harder in my slippers He had all last season and I felt he shouldn't have been given the job then he painted a huge picture of the awful tactics.

I dont feel sorry for Hart he should have done a Sbragia and admitted he was out of his depth last season. He made his bed. Storrie was right we should have accured more points alot more. I admit we are playing well but you got to get your points and we haven't simple its a results game and we have lost games playing well through very poor tactical decisions Adams was sacked for the same thing
