He might be England's number one but it seems David James can still be a plonker sometimes.
The goalkeeping ace suffered the indignity of a ride home in a clapped-out Only Fools And Horses-style Reliant Robin.

The creaking motor, in Pompey blue, is a world away from the keeper's usual eco-friendly rapeseed-oil converted Chrysler, and just to rub salt in the wounds, has been fitted with a loudspeaker on the roof which belts out animal noises.

Never mind David, this time next year you'll be a millionaire!

I hope we'll be getting daily updates from the News about who has the car each day. There's a lot of stories that could come out of this as well - who the car prefers to be driven by? are the board planning to sell the car in January? does it receive Quay FM and what does it think about all the latest gossip transfer? is the car worried about a potential sale of the club and what it mean's for its annual service? The News can feed of this one idea for months!
