Pompey chief executive Peter Storrie says he is pleased with the group the Blues have been drawn in.
As well as AC Milan, Pompey will face Heerenveen, SC Braga, and VfL Wolfsburg.

Storrie told Sky Sports News: 'It is a good group all the way round.

'If you look at the teams there are 40 good sides in the UEFA Cup, it is a tough competition to come through.

'But we will enjoy it and I am sure our fans will pinch themselves thinking Portsmouth Football Club are going to play AC Milan in European competition.'

The atmosphere at Fratton will not affect Milan in the slightest, we are talking about Italy where the atmoshere at some grounds can be highly hostile. I've heard they will not fancy our changing rooms but whislt they are not of top high class as in a lot off new grounds they have still been vastly improved from what they were, and I'm sure they will have experienced worse in Italy at some smaller clubs.

I think it's great we've manged to get to the group stage as it is where the competition really starts. I cannot see us progressing further so it will be a very good experience for the club in preparation for next year. I just hope it does not affect our Prem staus as has happened to the likes of Bolton and West Ham who all struggled when playing in Uefa. Our squad is very small and now where near big enough to cope on many fronts, so it's good we lost to Chelsea in the league cup, at least we got knocked out by the best side in the Prem.

If Milan want Nessum Dorma, let us reinstate 'The Westwood Brass'!

Pompian, you are SO wrong. I've been to the San Siro and although it's loud, you're too far away from the players. You don't have exuberant and passionate fans breathing down your neck at throw ins and corners like you do at Pompey, West Ham and a few other grounds. They may think we're like a non-league ground compared to what they have, but the atmosphere and noise at Fratton Park is far more intense BECAUSE it's small and intimate. PUP

Bring on AC Milan. They have not won away yet this season and they won't like Fratton Park too much!

Kaka, Inzaghi & Shevchenko up front? No way. Give me Crouch & Defoe any day. And they won't like Traore & Belhadj causing havoc with their skill & pace.

All of our UEFA games are winnable with our best team out. But how will that affect our league games when we might have to play Kaboul & Pamarot in defence with Niko "no pace" Kranjkar in midfield with Papa Diop and David "sicknote" Nugent up front with "Kan't run" Kanu?

We'll see Dave, I still do not think the atmosphere will affect them and I can actually see a pasting, Kaka will tear us apart if he plays. Milan at this stage are one of the favourites, just depends who comes in from the Champions league.

Jo how can you say all our games are winnable, we only just scraped through the last round against a poor Portugese side.

We Can Do It

Today's Vote

Is Tony Adams right to make changes to the Pompey side who beat Blackburn?
Adams should stick to the side that earned him his first win at Fratton Park
He should only change things around if there are injuries
If Campbell and Kranjcar are fit they should start
Davis deserves a starting role after his heroics against Blackburn
With a heavy fixture schedule coming up, changes are needed
