Pompey are on the brink of landing Armand Traore from Arsenal.
The News understands the Blues are set to unveil the left-back on a season-long loan from the Gunners.

Traore will become Harry Redknapp's seventh signing of the summer.

Mikael Silvestre's move from Manchester United to Arsenal has freed up the 18-year-old to move to Fratton Park.

Traore has made 18 appearances at the Emirates since joining the club from Monaco in 2005.

Do you reckon he'll play much? I didn't realise he was 18 so hasn't got much experience.

Super signing, please Harry give him a go surely if he is good enough for Arsenal he may have "a bit about him" as they say. Now can we play 3-5-2 on monday with Kaboul and Sylvan either side of Sol and Traore and Johnson as wing backs. Sol can stand in the middle and be our centre back general. Kranky can then move inside where I believe he is at his best with Diarra and Diop.

Our track record with player's called Traore isn't great, but this guy certainly looks like one for the future - if not the here and now. Arsenal don't tend to have too many dodgy players in their youth ranks, and from what I've seen (as Beetie says above) he's got some speed and skill about him, so it could well be another stroke of genius by Harry. Snap up a winger and everything is rosey again, well hopefully anyway.

wow this is a good singing, please please please play him Harry. if he starts on the bench for no good reason im gonna be pi**ed. also im starting to like this 3-5-2 idea. but harry will never do that, he has not got the "think outside of the box" side of him.
