Sol: We've one game left to save our season

SOL CAMPBELL issued a stark warning to Pompey by declaring: We've got one game to save our season.
The Blues skipper sat out yesterday's home defeat to Fulham with a hamstring problem, but remains confident he will be fit to lead the troops into battle at Wembley on Saturday.
But although Pompey recorded their highest-ever Premier League finish of eighth, the former England star is concerned by the Blues' run of four straight losses.
And he urged his team-mates not to see their efforts over a fine season wasted – claiming getting into Europe is the main incentive when they face Cardiff.
Campbell said: 'I think we've got to stop talking about over-achievement.
'Too many guys here have been at the top and it's time to move away from those kind of comments.
'The players are here and we need to get away from the kind of mentality where we should feel pleased about finishing eighth.
'We've really got to knuckle down, train right and make sure everybody is focused and up for the game on Saturday.
'We want to get into Europe and that is now our only chance.
'Forget the FA Cup – we've got to train right, win the game and get ourselves into Europe.
'Winning the FA Cup would be fantastic, but the main objective is Europe.
'It's difficult when you lose games but we have really got to concentrate on the weekend now and make sure we get our preparation right and our attitude right.'
Campbell was left out of the side as a precaution after a minor hamstring complaint, but he has allayed any fears he will not be fit for Wembley.
He said: 'It was just a little bit of tightness, so it should be okay.
'It's not a major thing. I want to play every game, but we had to look at the bigger picture.
'Next week is a massive game for us and we need to have everybody fit for that.'
Campbell hinted Pompey would need to improve their work-rate when they face Cardiff this weekend, but also insists the recent winless run will not upset the plans.
He said: 'We've got to run, we've got to chase and do everything right up and down the pitch.
'We will respect the opponents because anyone can win this game, but from there you have got to start playing your football.
'We're not happy because of the results, but we've got to settle down and keep to the plan.
'We've lost four games, but in some of those games we've played really well and the odd goal has let us down.
'So it will be a normal week but we all know it is a massive game at the end of it.'
