HARRY REDKNAPP challenged his players: Make yourselves legends.
Pompey stand on the brink of their first FA Cup final triumph for 69 years.
Tomorrow is Wembley D-day for Redknapp and his side as they bid to create club history when they take on Cardiff.

It has already been the best Blues season for more than half a century, with an eighth-placed finish in the Premier League.

Now they can add the famous old trophy to their remarkable achievements.
And Redknapp believes his players can achieve Pompey immortality with victory over the Bluebirds.

He said: 'It's the FA Cup final. If you can score in an FA Cup final you'll never be forgotten. But for all these lads, tomorrow is a chance to make themselves legends at this football club. They can write their names in history.

'What they achieve tomorrow can make them heroes with the fans.

'The players know what's at stake, they know what they are doing and they will be ready for Wembley to go out there and win the Cup.

'We have been preparing as best as we can and everything's gone well in the build-up.

'Now they've just got to go out and play. When they go out on to that pitch it's down to them completely. There's not a lot more I can do.

'These players have been absolutely brilliant this season – they have never let me down. They are good lads and that's why we will be there tomorrow.

'It's important not to get carried away by the occasion.

'They were nervous to begin with against West Brom and I am sure there will be nerves tomorrow – it's Wembley isn't it?

'It's been a great season and I am proud of all of them. They always rise to the occasion and we have a real chance of bringing this Cup back.'

The city will stand still tomorrow afternoon as they gather to cheer on their heroes.

At Wembley alone there will be around 25,000 roaring Pompey on against Cardiff, while Southsea Common will be packed with followers watching a specially-constructed big screen.

And for Redknapp, it epitomises just why it's the greatest domestic cup competition in the world.

He added: 'You think of all of the great fans at the game and back home – that's what it's all about.'

All the talking has been done, what is needed now is a great performance by both players and us fans. Let's bring the FA Cup home back to Portsmouth. Play Up Pompey!!!!!!!!

Hi y'all, Having missed the semi-final due to work committments (my son had my ticket), I must confess to being a "Wembley Virgin". I vowed that I would never go to Wembely unless it was to see Pompey! So, where is everyone going for a pre-match drink near the stadium?

Im a Wembley Virgin as well. But hopefully they will break me in gently! My husband says that there is not much around Wembley so hopefully we will find somewhere to have a cold one b4 the match. To all of you (like me) who are travelling up 2mw please have a safe journey. xx

We Can Do It

Today's Vote

Is Tony Adams right to make changes to the Pompey side who beat Blackburn?
Adams should stick to the side that earned him his first win at Fratton Park
He should only change things around if there are injuries
If Campbell and Kranjcar are fit they should start
Davis deserves a starting role after his heroics against Blackburn
With a heavy fixture schedule coming up, changes are needed
