The league contest was fished at Browndown Beach, from 7pm until midnight.

The event was fished in good conditions, with 72 anglers booking in for the battle.
It was calm and dry through the evening but the main catches were made in the final two hours of the match, as the fish kept the anglers waiting.

His haul included four pouting, one dogfish and one whiting.
And his 102cm smoothhound, of 8lb 12oz, was the heaviest fish of the match.

Third place in the match went to Darren Cramer, fishing from peg 75 placed opposite the Old Ship Inn.

Sizeable fish included black bream, flounder, dogfish, tub gurnard, plaice, pouting, a thornback ray, smoothhound – measured and returned – and whiting.
