Owls ruthlessly crushed Blues to move into joint-second in the Victory Tuesday Ladies’ Triples League.

Lyn Field’s side chalked up a whopping 28 shots to send the bottom club crashing to a 13th defeat of the season.

The Owls now have a share of second spot with Smiles – with both teams sitting on 22 points.

However, they are eight points adrift of leaders Tarts.

Rosemary Bailey’s title favourites beat lowly Jackdaws 21-5 to record a 15th win of the campaign.

Jeanette Davies led her Blackbirds to an eight-shot win over Robins – a result which maintained their fourth spot.

Magpies delivered a late flurry of shots to take the spoils 16-7 against Fillies in a mid-table clash.

In the Birds League red division, no-one could take advantage of leaders Eagles being out of action.

Skylarks and Eiders drew – leaving the Eagles seven points clear with a game in hand.

Seagulls lost to the lowly Blackbirds in the blue division, while Penguins continued their race for green division glory with a 23-6 win over Chuffs.

Dodos remain on their tails, though, after a 19-7 win over Owls.

A one-shot victory over Postie Pats has kept The Pirates at the summit of the Victory Afternoon Triples League.

True Blues are only one point behind with a game in hand.

In Victory Evening Triples League action, Next beat Cardsharps 19-3 to stay ahead of Odd Bowls, who suffered a shock loss to Fiesta 14-9. Stripey’s Mob are still in contention after a 28-11 win over Leeways.

In the Victory Friday Evening Triples League, leaders Toromos could only draw with Flotsom.

Standons moved within four points of the leaders with a three-shot defeat of Collegians.

The two bottom teams had encouraging wins in the Victory Monday Ladies’ Fours League.

Despite dropping shots in the first three ends, Sue Jones led her Aster side to a 13-10 success over Lupins.

Friesa finished strongly to edge a tight clash with Zinnia by two, while dominant Daisy recorded a 23-10 win over Erica.

Hyacinth got the better of Buttercups by two shots – largely down to a mid-game five on one end.

Team Three – with a last-end single – and Team Six both recorded wins in the Victory Thursday Mixed Fours League.

In the Victory Wednesday Evening Triples League, leaders Alex had a walkover against the Gravediggers who haven’t turned up for the past three weeks.

Battle is on in division one of the Thursday triple competition – Adrian Snook’s Crescent claimed a one-shot win over Allsorts, skipped by his brother Gary.

Gamblers easily beat Kackanders 18-4.

And in the Victory Evening Fours League, leaders Pentones ran out convincing 27-9 winners over Waverley College, Just That Yard beat Cavaliers 23-9 and division two leaders Naismith fell to a heavy 23-7 defeat against Red Notes.
