Jordan Silk played a crucial role in Tasmania’s third Sheffield Shield crown.

The 20-year-old batsman, below, who scored 366 runs in eight games for Burridge last summer, struck 108 in the first innings against Queensland.

It was Silk’s second ton for the state, who also boast Ricky Ponting in their ranks, in his opening three first-class matches.

While the match finished in a draw yesterday, Tasmania’s first innings of 419 eclipsed Queensland’s 225 to seal the Australian domestic title.
