The Hampshire talent looks set to bat in England’s problem position of number three against the Baggy Greens at the Gabba.

Vince, 26, has scored 212 runs at an average of 19.27 in seven Tests following his debut against Sri Lanka at Headingley in May 2016.

The Ageas Bowl white-ball captain has featured in all three of England’s warm-up games Down Under.

He’s notched 170 runs at an average of 42.5 and most recently struck 82 against a WACA XI.

Hampshire’s Mason Crane is also part of the 17-man England squad in Australia.
