Success was toasted by i-Team, Portsmouth North End (PNE) and Fareham Wheelers as the SwiftCarbon Southdown Velo Goodwood Series got off to a flying start this week.

Adam Potter claimed the under-12 boys’ prize in the first event of the 10-round competition on Tuesday.

The i-Team talent was joined on the podium by Izzy Brickell, who landed the under-12 girls’ victory.

Owen Giles got PNE on the board in the under-14 boys’ category.

i-Team’s Samuel Clark and Vaughan Marris, of the Wheelers, completed the top three positions.

Caitlin Peters bossed the under-14 girls’ race, with Freya Richardson, of PNE, grabbing third place.

At under-16 level, i-Team were back on top with Victoria Lovett powering to the girls’ prize.

Wheelers talent Alex Collins had to settle for second in the boys’ race.

And in the senior contest, Brendan Drewett and Harvey Morcombe finished 10th and 11th as Team Wiggle’s Ben Simmons triumphed.

The next round is on Tuesday evening.
