Admiral Drake A secured their first points of the season in Portsmouth Men’s Summer League division C as they triumphed 6-3 over Oyster House B.

Drake took a 4-1 lead with Brian Attfield, Simon Hughes, Carl Spratt and Anthony Griffin all on the mark while only Lee Lamkin could muster an early response for Oyster.

Phil Smith and Malcolm Smith kept Oyster in the match only for Mark Mitchell and Dave West to take the remaining legs for Drake giving them the points.

The division D season has restarted following the expulsion of Painters Arms for not turning up for any of their first three fixtures without notifying the opponents.

The Royal are among the front runners in the rebooted season thanks to a 7-2 drubbing of Barley Mow.

Sam Palmer opened proceedings for Royal but Mow hit straight back through Rae Lawson.

Royal went 3-1 up with wins from Graeme Cloes and Brian Cohead before Peter Roberts reduced Mow’s deficit.

However, it was one-way traffic from there on as Danny Hayden, Allen Wilton, Mark Callcut and Brian Hughes all notched legs to give Royal a convincing win.

Admiral Drake B stay undefeated at the top of division A after coming from behind to beat Phoenix North End B.

Phoenix took the initial lead courtesy of Lee Todd but Drake’s Charlie Jackson threw an 18-dart leg and 180 as he restored parity.

A 16-darter from Lee Smith, two 18-dart legs and 151 game-shot by Jamie Stewart and Tim Hope’s 15-dart effort put Phoenix 4-1 up. Danny Smith threw an 18-dart leg against Lee Smith.

But Phoenix couldn’t clinch victory as Drake rattled off four sets on the trot thanks to Lester Miles, Sam Head, Adam Lipscombe – 18-dart leg, 180 and 120 finish – and Jon Bramble – 18-dart leg and 180.

Lord Chichester B maintained their 100-per-cent record in division B as they dispatched Oyster House A 5-4.

Chichester stormed into a 3-0 lead through Mike Feaver, Jim Stanhope and John Madgwick jnr.

Chris Cobb jnr got Oyster off the mark only for Keith Taylor and Dean Charman to bag the points for Chichester.

James Stone, Jon Macdonald and Scott Tucker won the remaining ties for Oyster to make the scoreline more respectable.

Shane Filleul, Paul Richmond (both Newcome Arms A) and Len Eastland (Duke of Devonshire) all threw 17-dart legs.

Paul Wain (Shearer Arms) recorded two 18-darters and a 113 check-out, while Steve Filby, Darren Barnes (Newcome Arms A), Malcolm Ogden (Mr Pickwick A) and Lee O’Donovan (Mr Pickwick B) all finished legs in 18 darts.
