Admiral Drake B moved two points clear at the top of division A after a 5-4 triumph over second-placed Newcome Arms A.

Sam Head and Gary Collis both threw 17-darters for Drake as they put them 2-0 up.

Ricky Williams scored 180 to extend the lead.

But Dean Jones, who hit 17 and 18-dart legs and a 119 finish, Steve Filby, with a 17-darter, and Martin Stead, with two 15-dart legs, squared the match up.

Drake regained the lead when Danny Smith registered a 17-darter and Jon Bramble sealed victory with 17 and 18-dart legs and a 180.

Dave Robinson took a late consolation for Newcome.

Electric Arms dropped to third in division B as they went down 5-4 to Graham Arms A.

Peter Pitt and James Bateman gave Electric a 2-1 lead after Rob Knowles struck for Graham.

Jamie Davis restored parity for Graham but Pete Webb and Steve Cole put Electric on the brink of victory.

However, Graham took all three remaining legs as Martin Simmons, Kevin Gilchrist and Tom Simmons were all on the mark.

Star & Garter moved up to second in division C after they beat British Queen 6-3.

Phil King took the opener for Star but Queen then took the lead through Martin Pink and David Place snr.

Star regained control with Dave King, Jim West and Steve Bern taking legs.

John Major kept Queen in the match but Star’s Dave Gisby and Tom Bartholomew won the remaining ties.

Pembroke beat Baffins 6-3 to get off the mark for the season.

George & Dragon A moved within two points of division D’s promotion places as they overcame Raven B 7-2.

Raven gained the initial advantage but George wasted no further time in bagging the points with Les Browne, Les Western, Phillips Browne, Frank Woodward and Anthony Plummer on the mark.

John Garnett pulled one back for Raven before George’s Mark Pearce and Shane Plummer sealed the win.

Portland Arms sit second in division E after beating Trafalgar 7-2.

Keith Mayne won the opener for Portland but Daniel Farmer hit straight back for Trafalgar.

Julian Whelan, Alan Wilton, Joe Sweetman and Frankie Tomney gave Portland an insurmountable lead.

Ethen Ward took a consolation before Jack Hicks and Shaun Morris rounded things off.

Andy Newcombe (Jolly Taxpayer C) threw a 17-dart leg while Mason Riou (Mr Pickwick), Ian Pearce (Rose in June B) and Chris Jafkins (Froddington Arms B) all had 18-darters.

Michael Chandler (Nell Gwynne) hit a 100 game-shot.

Carl Williams (Rose in June B) and Neil Banks fired 180s and Malcolm Smith (Artillery Arms B) scored 177.
