Danny Pinhorne claimed glory in the opening week of the Modus Darts Portsmouth Autumn Grand Prix with a 4-1 triumph over Andy Jenkins in the final.

Pinhorne fired in an 11-darter, two 15-dart legs and four maximums en route to overall victory, which also included 4-1 wins over Mike Symes in the quarter-finals and Bob Crawley in the last four.

Jenkins, meanwhile, won his semi-final 4-0 against Ron Atwill, having beaten Sam Head 4-1 in the previous round.

Ryan Groves and Charlie Jackson also reached the last eight.

Ricky Williams won the plate competition, beating Chas Barstow in the final.

Jenkins and Symes both threw 13-dart legs, while Ryan Groves and Wayne France also impressed on the oche, throwing 14 and 15-darters.

For their part, Jenkins’ knockout-round opponents, Atwill and Head, also enjoyed 14-dart legs – albeit in vain.
