He won all his seven matches.

And his form continued as he went on to whitewash Dave Harper 3-0 in the second round.

Then he edged out Wayne France 4-3 in the quarter-finals before convincingly beating Luke Getty 4-0 in the last four.

Jenkins won his semi-final against Lee Evans 4-1.

He had previously seen off Ron Atwill 4-0 in the quarter-finals.

In the last-16 he came through a closer battle as he saw off Mike Symes 3-2.

In the quarter-finals, Getty beat Justin Bradshaw 4-0 and Evans triumphed 4-3 against Tony Moore.

Sam Palmer, John Large, Robbie Norster, George Sanderson, Jason Poole and Wayne Crossley all reached the last 16.

Jenkins’ second-place finish was enough to see him top the points table at the end of the 10 stages.

He finished with 102 points and picked up £720 in prize money.

That makes him top seed in the grand finals competing for the £500 top prize.

He will be up against Harper, Getty, Large, Marty Ward, Moore, France, Bradshaw, Atwill, Sam Head, Evans, Symes, Martyn Pegram, Norster, Jane Monaghan and Jason Poole as they battle for glory.

The grand finals boasts a total prize-fund of £1,600, in addition to the £3,000 paid out in the 10 qualifying weeks.
