Earlier this season, we launched a new Blast From The Past feature in the Sports Mail.

In recent weeks, we have been inundated with your photographs of old club and school football teams.

They have stirred great memories of yesteryear, with former glories once again celebrated.

Dave Warner, from Paulsgrove, was the latest to get in touch.

He has dusted off some great images from the 1950s, including these of his Hillside Primary School team.

The young talents are proudly showing off the Portsmouth Schools’ Football Association Supporters’ Cup trophy they won at Fratton Park in 1956.

Alongside their master Mr Lowman and headteacher Mr Cleal, the budding footballers were presented with the silverware by Pompey hero Billy Haines.

Warner netted in that final but Garry Davies grabbed the headlines with a hat-trick.

Ian Ross is believed to be the other goalscorer but this is where we would like your help.

Do you remember the cup final? Or do you know someone who might?

Maybe you are in the photograph? Or are related to one of the Hillside heroes pictured?

If so, we would love to hear from you as we attempt to add to the information Warner has provided.
