Gosport Borough crashed to a 5-1 defeat at the hands of East Thurrock United today.

Alex Pike’s side were out to pick up their first win on the road in this season’s National League South.

However, their wait continues after they went down to a heavy defeat.

Tom Bird scored the only goal of the game for the Privett Park side.

Alfie Rutherford scored his first goal for the Hawks as they beat Folkstone Invicta 1-0 at Westleigh Park.

Also in the Ryam League, Bognor drew 1-1 at Grays Athletic, with James Fraser scoring for the Rocks.

In the FA Cup, Petersfield lost 2-1 at Hounslow United.

But there was joy for AFC Portchester who defeated Mangotsfield 2-0, and Moneyfields, who were 3-0 winners at Whitchurch United.

Fareham drew 2-2 at Verwood Town.

In the Wessex League premier division, Horndean drew 3-3 at Cowes Sports
