Oastler started his career in the youth set-up at Pompey before joining Bognor.

However, his stay at Nyewood Lane was brief as he moved to Queens Park Rangers after only three games for the Rocks.

While at Loftus Road, the defender spent two periods out on loan with Salisbury City and Torquay United but did make his Championship debut for the west London club in 2010.

In 2011 he moved to Torquay permanently, before returning to Hampshire in 2013 with Aldershot.
