THE NEXT generation from Portsmouth Gymnastics Club are already becoming accustomed to the winning feeling.

It was city dominance all the way in the Hampshire under-eight league.

The A squad from Portsmouth Gymnastics Club, based at Alex Way, Hilsea, topped the table and the B squad placed third – Portsmouth School of Gymnastics finished runners-up.

Nine teams take part in a series of five events, hosted at Park Community School, Leigh Park.

The gymnasts have to perform a bar routine to exhibit their strength and body tension.

They also demonstrate a range and condition routine, with flexibility and control the key attributes.
