But after the break the home side laid siege to the visitors' goal for long periods.

And a terrific backs-to-the-wall performance kept the home side at bay. '˜We are happy to come away with a point and I thought the team defended superbly,' said Dudzinski.

'˜They threw everything at us but we stood up to it.

'˜In the first half we were the better side and created the better chances.

'˜I was pleased to make my contribution with the saves but it was a superb team effort.

'˜The whole back four were immense.

'˜It isn't easy standing up to a barrage like that for so long.

'˜For the last save I just flung myself across the goal and wasn't sure if I'd got enough on it.

'˜I had to watch agonisingly as it hit the bar and then got back quickly for the rebound.'
