THE Hawks had to settle for a 0-0 draw at Needham Market after dominating the Ryman League contest.

Home keeper Danny Gay produced two outstanding second-half saves to deny the visitors a win their performance deserved.

Meanwhile, James Fraser grabbed a hat-trick as Bognor stretched their lead at the top of the Ryman League premier division with a 4-0 win at Canvey Island.

Jimmy Muitt also hit the target as the Rocks opened up a four-point lead on their title-chasing rivals.

Gosport Borough slumped to a 5-1 National League south division defeat at play-off-chasing Chelmsford City.

Ben Wright gave Borough an early lead but that was as good as it got for the visitors.

In the Southern League, Petersfield lost 8-0 away to Barton Rovers.

Moneyfields took a big step towards the Wessex premier title with a 3-1 win at Hamworthy United.

Goals from James Guthrie, Dan Wooden and Steve Hutchings earned them the win.

Horndean thumped third-placed Blackfield & Langley 4-1.

Fareham Town held high-flying Portland United to a 2-2 draw at Cams Alders.

First-half goals by Alex Baldacchino and Andy Todd helped AFC Portchester return to winning ways with a 2-0 home win over Andover Town.

In division one, United Services Portsmouth stormed to a 5-2 win over Laverstock & Ford at Burnaby Road.
