Home keeper Danny Gay produced two outstanding second-half saves to deny the visitors a win their performance deserved.

Meanwhile, James Fraser grabbed a hat-trick as Bognor stretched their lead at the top of the Ryman League premier division with a 4-0 win at Canvey Island.

Jimmy Muitt also hit the target as the Rocks opened up a four-point lead on their title-chasing rivals.

Gosport Borough slumped to a 5-1 National League south division defeat at play-off-chasing Chelmsford City.

Ben Wright gave Borough an early lead but that was as good as it got for the visitors.

In the Southern League, Petersfield lost 8-0 away to Barton Rovers.
