VULNERABLE people need help to ensure they can survive, an MP has said.

Portsmouth South MP Flick Drummond wants more people to volunteer to feed the homeless.

She is backing FoodCycle Pompey after visiting the initiative at King’s Church in Somerstown.

Mrs Drummond said: ‘When I was there it was very well attended and I know the homeless, asylum seekers and vulnerable families very much appreciate what the charity does so anyone who can help or give money to keep the good work going, then can they please get in touch.’

FoodCycle takes place at King’s Church on Thursday at 6pm and John Pounds Centre every Tuesday at 7pm. To help call (023) 9289 2010, or email portsmouth@foodcycle.org.uk
