Ten-man Bognor used three goalkeepers as they battled to a 1-1 Ryman League division one south draw at struggling Whitstable last night.

Luke Nightingale gave the Rocks an early lead before goalkeeper Craig Stoner was sent off in the 13th minute for handling outside his area.

With no substitute stopper on the bench, James Crane took over from Stoner for the rest of the half but couldn't prevent the hosts grabbing an equaliser.

Dan Beck took over at the break for a goalless second half.

Hayling United pulled off a surprise 3-2 away win at third-placed Brading Town in the Wessex League premier division.

Rock-bottom United came from behind with goals from Barry Keogh, Dan Martin and Lenny Burney before their high-flying hosts bagged a stoppage-time consolation.

Dave Carter's Horndean bowed out of the Hampshire Senior Cup at Bournemouth.

The 2-0 defeat was rough justice on the Wessex League division one Deans, who conceded both goals in the second period of extra-time.

And the pair came courtesy of a huge degree of fortune.

The first from striker Tom Jeffes took a deflection before flashing in at the near post.

Then Horndean keeper Simon Howard could only watch as his clearance struck Bournemouth's Jon Blake and rebounded into the back of the net.
