Gale: No taking it easy for my boys

Shaun GALE has vowed the Hawks will take Southern League side Sholing seriously when the two meet in the quarter-finals of the Hampshire Senior Cup at Westleigh Park tonight (7.45pm).
Gale has ambitions of making the showpiece final at the end of the season and his side will start the game as favourites.
The Hawks already boast an FA Cup win over the visitors from earlier this season but Gale believes that counts for nothing.
‘This is a very important game for us and we want to progress,’ he said.
‘We already have a win over them but they gave us a tough game and we are expecting the same again.
‘They will fancy coming and causing an upset.
‘Sholing are a good side and we will need to be on our guard.’
Gale will be able to bring the experienced figure of Sammy Igoe into the side after injury, while a number of other players may get the chance to stake their claim for a first-team return.
Central defender Ryan Woodford, attacking wide man Craig Braham-Barrett and striker Ollie Palmer could start, with Scott Jones and Paul Hinshelwood both struggling with injury.
The Hawks are offering reduced ticket prices for tonight’s match – £8 adults, £5 concessions.

n Wessex League first division side AFC Portchester are intent on causing an upset when they visit Southern League premier hosts AFC Totton in the Hampshire Senior Cup.
‘We can go there with nothing to lose,’ said Portchester manager Glen Bridgeman.
‘I think we might be able to surprise them with our football and we generally do well against higher-ranked teams.
‘We are going there to enjoy the occasion and if we get anything it will be brilliant.’
Bridgeman’s side suffered a disappointing 4-2 defeat at Ringwood in the league at the weekend and the manager expects an improvement in some areas.
‘We were 2-1 up and had enough chances to win the game,’ said Bridgeman.
‘Then we gifted them a couple of goals with poor back passes. We won’t be able to give AFC Totton anything because if we do it could end up a cricket score.’
