Eastleigh are celebrating derby victory after beating the Hawks 3-2 at the Silverlake Stadium last night.

A Damian Scannell double put the Spitfires in control of the Blue Square Bet South showdown before Sam Pearce reduced arrears shortly before the interval.

Bradley Bubb restored Eastleigh’s two-goal cushion midway through the second half, leaving Pearce’s late second as nothing more than a consolation.

In the Wessex League premier division, Hayling United’s visit to Alton Town was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
