A Gary Austin strike was enough for Fareham to edge a 1-0 win over Alresford in the Wessex League premier division.
The Reds tore into the visitors from the start and Tom Winszar, who starred in the midweek win at Fawley, took a pass from Wayne Boud before angling a shot just wide.
Fareham keeper Luke Douglas then did well to keep out a shot from striker Zack Glasspool that looked destined for the corner of the net.
On 25 minutes, Fareham took the lead following a quality move, which ended with a superbly-taken goal for Gary Austin, who timed his run perfectly to meet Boud’s flighted cross and head home at the far post.
For the remainder of the first half, though, the hosts were forced on to the back foot and it took some excellent defending to earn themselves an interval lead.
Alresford wasted a glorious chance to level after the break when Mike McEmery fired wide, before Chris Manning and Glasspool went close.
In an effort to see out the match, Fareham boss Matt Parr brought on Matt Jones and Matt Burt off the bench to support a now-struggling defence.
And Jones made himself busy with a bone-shuddering challenge to keep out Glasspool as Fareham held on.
