A late Mangotsfield equaliser meant Alex Pike’s Gosport Borough were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw this afternoon.

Borough made the trip looking to take maximum points and cement themselves firmly in to second spot in the Southern League division one south & west table.

But, despite taking a second half lead through Craig Feeney, Lee Marshall’s equaliser frustrated Borough.

Bognor also drew 1-1, with visiting Walton & Hersham – Terry Dodd the hosts’ goalscorer in the Ryman League division one south clash.

In the Wessex League premier, Fareham Town did Hayling United a favour by storming to a 4-1 victory over strugglers New Milton Town.

Graham Lindsey grabbed a brace to increase the Humbugs’ chances of survival ahead of the final weekend of the campaign.

In the same division, Horndean slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Downton, and Moneyfields were beaten 3-0 by Christchurch.
