Bobby Hopkinson returns for Horndean as they visit rock-bottom New Milton Town in the Wessex League premier division (3pm).

Hopkinson, who was on loan with the Deans last term, was recently released by the Hawks after an 18-month battle to recover from a badly broken ankle.

‘It is great to have him back,’ said Horndean manager Dave Carter.

Carter also welcomes Chamal Fenelon back from injury and full-back Neil Perkins from holiday.

Nathan Paxton remains unavailable, while Dan Hayes and Louie Castles are injured.

‘New Milton may be bottom but they have drawn their last two games,’ said Carter.

‘That is good for us because we know we are going there for a scrap and not a jolly.

‘I am expecting to return with all three points, though.’

The Humbugs suffered a crushing 5-1 home defeat by Fareham Town in midweek – tumbling 3-0 down inside 11 minutes.

‘We’ve had a habit of starting slowly in our home games,’ said Poulton

‘I felt a little let down on Tuesday night and it is up to the players now to show they care and want to play at this level.

‘The players have to take responsibility and they have to do it right from the start.’
