A Dan Wooden double and a late strike from substitute Lee Wort booked Gosport Borough’s passage into the next round of the FA Cup.

Borough proved too strong for Maidenhead in tonight’s third-qualifying-round replay at Privett Park as they ran out 3-0 winners.

The win sees Alex Pike’s side travel to Devon-based Western League outfit Willand Rovers for a place in the first round proper.

In the Wessex League premier division, Dan Hayes’ last-gasp header snatched a 2-1 victory for Horndean at struggling Fareham.

The Reds looked set for a deserved share of the spoils after Simon Woods cancelled out Nathan Paxton’s first-half opener.

Instead, it was derby delight for the Deans who netted with the final touch of an absorbing game to leave the hosts third from bottom of the table.

AFC Portchester’s recent good form was ended as they were beaten 1-0 at Folland Sports.
