Gosport Borough’s wait for their first home win of the season continues as they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of St Albans.

Lewis Toomey’s 26th-minute strike earned the away side victory, leaving Alex Pike’s side with only one point to show from a possible 12 at home in the Southern League premier division this term.

In the Wessex League premier division, Louie Castle’s last-gasp strike earned Horndean a 1-0 win at Alton.

Moneyfields surrendered a two-goal lead – and with it top spot in the Wessex premier division – to lose 3-2 at Alresford.

Miles Rutherford’s men looked to be cruising to another victory when goals from Bobby Scott and Rob Evans put Moneys 2-0 ahead.

But Alresford stunned them with three goals in the final 20 minutes to snatch all three points.

It was also a night to forget for Hayling as their depleted side were thumped 8-0 at Hamworthy.
