Lee Bradbury had no complaints after his Hawks side went down to a 3-0 defeat in their FA Cup first-round clash to Preston North End.

The Hawks boss saw Callum Robinson blast a brilliant hat-trick, while Brian Stock and Warren Cummings were both sent off for the home team to make a tough task even more difficult.

Bradbury said: ‘To go 1-0 down so quickly was disappointing and gave us a mountain to climb.

‘But we’ve got to remember who we were playing against.

‘Preston are a quality side and going well in League One.

‘I can’t fault the players’ application but they just didn’t seem to believe it enough.’
