Jamie Brown breathed new life into Gosport Borough’s hopes of staying in the Skrill South with the only goal of the game in a vital 1-0 win at Weston-super-Mare.
The Borough skipper netted the crucial winner early in the second half as he used the strong wind to fire home a looping long-range effort to clinch the points.
Meanwhile, the Hawks’ Skrill South clash with Maidenhead United at Westleigh Park fell foul to the weather.
