Max Smith picked up the ball in midfield and span it out to Connor on the right side.

He cut inside into the box and then fired a shot into the net at the near post.

Five minutes later the hosts went close.

A long ball down the middle was knocked down by Aaron Berry but he shot over from a tight angle.

The hosts got back level on 27 minutes.

A free-kick from midfield was floated into the box and Guri Demuria headed the ball over Rams keeper Conor Beattie into the net.

Beaconsfield got in front two minutes later.

A corner from the left was flicked back into the midfield and Charlie Losasso headed the ball into the roof of the net.

Petersfield had a chance to respond.

The ball dropped to Matt Andrews at the far post but he couldn’t turn the ball over the line.

Four minutes before half-time the Rams went close again.

Stuart Green played the ball forward into the path of captain Ryan Woodford.

But he was marked tightly and as a result couldn’t get any power behind his shot as he hooked the ball goalwards.

After the interval Petersfield were by far the better performing side.

They almost snatched an equaliser after a minute of the first half.

The ball was played through for Woodford but he fired wide after his marker did just enough to deny him the space to shoot clearly.

On 49 minutes Berry tested Beattie from 35 yards out and the keeper had to make an acrobatic dive to keep the shot out.

The hosts went close on the hour with Komal Llewellyn-Reid unmarked but he headed over the top.

Petersfield equalised on 62 minutes. The ball was flicked into the path of Connor who lobbed the keeper from 30 yards out to net.

The Rams went close to taking the lead when Andrews’ shot was saved.

But the killer blow came on 78 minutes as Berry capitalised on an unfortunate slip from a defender and shot low into the net.

The Rams then missed a late header from a corner.
