The Hawks came from behind to snatch a valuable point in a 1-1 Vanarama Conference South draw at Hemel Hempstead.

After trailing 1-0 at the break to Nicke Kabamba’s header, the visitors hit back on the hour through Scott Donnelly’s terrific 30-yard strike.

The third meeting in a week between Gosport Borough and Basingstoke Town finished in a drab 0-0 draw, with neither side really coming close to gaining maximum points.

Brett Poate had the home side’s best effort when his long-range first-half strike hit the post but in the end it was honours even at Privett Park - a result that means Borough will be in third place in the Vanarama Conference South table on Christmas Day.

Petersfield Town closed Moneyfields’ lead at the top of the Wessex League premier division table to a point, as Warren Hunt’s hat-trick helped the Rams see off Newport 4-2.

Alex Lowley put the gloss on a fine win in stoppage-time after Jordan Browne and Ian Seabrook had netted for the visitors.

Bognor recorded a 2-1 victory over Enfield Town in the Ryman League premier division, thanks to goals from Stuart Green and James Crane at Nyewood Lane.

Baffins Milton Rovers progressed to Hampshire Premier League Cup semi-finals with a hard-fought 3-1 win at Overton United – in a game which saw both sides reduced to 10 men.

Tyler Moret, Blu Boam and Shane Cornish goals sent the reigning holders through to the last four of the competition with Tyler Yates’ red card the only blemish on another successful day for Lee Newport’s side.
