Moneyfields eased into the Portsmouth Senior Cup final after blitzing Paulsgrove 5-0 at Dover Road.
Goals from Jack Lee, Bobby Scott, Warren Hunt and a double by man-of-the-match Jake Slater saw off the Hampshire Premier League side, who would have been on the end of a heavier loss had it not been for several fine saves by keeper Aaron Holden.
Despite falling behind to a superb 10th-minute strike from Slater – and then a neat header by Lee shortly after – Paulsgrove never lost heart and battled away in an effort to get back in the match, only for Hutchings to shatter their hopes by setting up Scott to clip in number three just before the interval.
Slater grabbed his second of the match with a cross-shot that flew high into the net, before Hunt finished the job off with a fifth.
Late on, Paulsgrove so nearly got the consolation goal they deserved when Aiden Hatton nipped in ahead of his marker to thump in a header that drifted just wide of a post.
Moneyfields will take on Portsmouth Saturday League outfit Baffins Milton – who beat Dave Carter’s Horndean 2-1 in their last-four tie on Tuesday – in the final at Fratton Park.
