Shaun Gale’s Hawks take on Wessex League premier division leaders Winchester City in the Hampshire Senior Cup quarter-finals at West Leigh Park tonight (7.45pm).

Manager Gale is expecting a difficult tie.

‘When you reach the quarter-finals of any cup competition you want to go on,’ said Gale.

‘Winchester are a competent side with some good players, so we know it will be tough.

‘We have won our last two games and want to keep the winning mentality going.

‘I don’t have many options for making changes to the team.

‘Risks won’t be taken, though, and I will rest a few players.

‘It is a chance to give players who didn’t start on Saturday a game and include a few youngsters.’

Pompey loanee Ellis Martin is expected to start and latest recruit Bobby Scott should figure as a substitute.

The club have reduced the admission prices to £8 and £4 concessions.
