Gosport Borough booked their place in the next round of the FA Trophy with a superb 2-1 win at Dorchester Town.

George Way opened the scoring for Alex Pike’s side in the first half, before Alex Bennett extended their lead in the second.

A Dickenson goal on 80 minutes gave Blue Square Bet South side a glimmer of hope, but it is Borough who are in the hat for the next round as they held out for a deserved win.

The Hawks, meanwhile, will have to do it all again after they were held to a scoreless draw by Weymouth.

Their FA Trophy reply will be held at Westleigh Park on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

In Ryman League division one south, goals from Ben Andrews, Steve Harper, Jason Prior and James Crane earned promotion-chasing Bognor a 4-0 win at Merstham.

In the Wessex League premier division, Horndean suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Christchurch, while Fareham lost 3-1 at Bournemouth Poppies.
