Gosport Borough’s FA Trophy hopes took flight as Mike Gosney shot down Concord Rangers to give the hosts a deserved 1-0 win at Privett Park.

Alex Pike’s side will now go into the draw for the next round on Monday as they move a step closer to a dream Wembley final.

The Hawks battled to a hard-fought 0-0 FA Trophy draw at Hampshire rivals Basingstoke Town.

The replay will take place on Monday night at Westleigh Park (7.45pm).

In a game of few chances Dennis Oli went closest to winning it with a first-half shot that hit the woodwork.

AFC Portchester left it late to snatch a point as they drew 1-1 with Whitchurch United in an entertaining Wessex League premier game at Wicor Rec.

Shane Locke gave the visitors the lead late on but Jamie Musselwhite salvaged a share of the spoils at the death to keep Portchester in the promotion hunt.

Bognor had to settle for a point at 10-man Harrow Borough, as neither side was able to break the deadlock in an even contest in the Ryman premier.

Victor Osubu was sent off for the hosts midway through the second half but the Rocks were unable to breach a resolute Borough defence.

Fareham Town succumbed to a 4-4 draw in an entertaining game at Cams Alders as Newport (IOW) snatched a stoppage-time leveller.
