And, despite today’s opponents sitting second in the division above, Gosport fans are staying hopeful of producing an upset.

John Haymen, 52, from Rowner, said: ‘I think Gosport could win 3-0.

‘I have seen them play a lot this season and they have a great chance.

‘It’s a big day but they can do it.’

Keith Pinder, 50, from Rowner, isn’t as optimistic but says they have done brilliantly to reach the final.

‘Cambridge are a good team but Gosport will give it a go.’ he said.

‘I think it will be fantastic if they win, but I am not too sure on what the scoreline will be.

‘It will be difficult but it is still great that they have reached the final especially having played teams who were favourites to win it.’

Many of the fans have already been to Wembley but Amanda Buchanan said it’s still a good day out.

‘We’ve seen England play a few times here but it is still great to come to Wembley with the family and watch the game,’ she said.

‘’Obviously we are hoping for a Gosport win but it makes for a great day out.’

The game kicks off at 3pm.
