Newly-promoted Gosport Borough have been given a huge boost after star striker Justin Bennett penned a new three-year deal with the club.

Bennett netted 42 goals this season to finish as Southern League division one south & west’s top scorer, which played a huge part in Gosport’s play-off promotion.

The 29-year-old had been linked with a move to Blue Square Bet South club Dorchester Town.

But he has accepted a new contract at Privett Park and will remain an integral part for Borough’s Southern League premier division campaign.
