Gosport extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches with a goalless draw at Chippenham Town.

In a Southern League premier match spoilt by tricky conditions on a rain-soaked pitch, Borough were second-best in the opening 45 minutes and were fortunate to see Alan Griffin head wide from six yards out.

Alex Pike’s men improved after the break, though, and had their best chance on 56 minutes when Justin Bennett’s drive from the edge of the area looked destined for the bottom corner, only to be kept out by Ben John.

The Chippenham keeper then denied Gosport’s top scorer again five minutes from time as the visitors settled for a point.
