Ricardo Viana has become Gosport Borough’s first summer signing.
The 26-year-old defender, who can also play in midfield, recently moved to the UK from his native Portugal where he was a professional with Portuguese fourth-tier club Associação Desportiva de Grijó.
Viana is the first new addition to Borough’s squad ahead of next season’s Blue Square Bet South campaign.
Gosport boss Alex Pike has also confirmed that 11 of his play-off winning squad have agreed terms for the 2013-14 season, including Brett Poate, Nathan Ashmore, Sammy Igoe and Rory Williams.
Meanwhile, Pike continues to look at strengthening his squad and is currently talking to six players.
