Chris Arthur has left the Hawks to join AFC Wimbledon.

The 23-year-old, who can play at left-back or as a left midfielder, has joined the League Two club after an impressive campaign at Westleigh Park.

Arthur had a year left to run on his Hawks contract, although it is not yet known how much Lee Bradbury’s side will receive for the transfer.

AFC Wimbledon manager, Neal Ardley, said: ‘We moved quickly for Chris because we wanted to sign him as soon as the season ended.

‘He had a great season at Havant and we believe he will fit in well to the dynamics of our team.’

Arthur started his career at QPR and has since moved between League football and non-league stints, originally joining the Hawks in September 2011.

A move to Northampton Town followed before Arthur, who played mainly at left-back for the Hawks, returned for another spell at Westleigh Park in January 2012.
