The Hawks’ problems continued as they were edged out in a 4-3 thriller against Blue Square Bet South leaders Woking at Westleigh Park this afternoon.

Ollie Palmer gave the Hawks a perfect start after three minutes.

But, by the interval, the visitors had established a 3-1 lead – former Pompey youngster Paris Cowan-Hall grabbing a double.

Steve Ramsey put the Hawks back in it at the start of the second half but they looked dead and buried when Woking scored again.

Palmer’s second goal of the game 13 minutes from time set up a grand stand finish and it was Woking who were hanging on at the end.
