The Hawks came from behind to salvage a 1-1 Blue Square South draw against Weston-super-Mare at Westleigh Park this afternoon.

The visitors went ahead after 33 minutes, but the Hawks hit back through Leon Cashman to level the scores on the stroke of half-time.

The home side had the better of the second half, but failed to find a way through the well-organised Weston defence.

In the Ryman League, Bognor continued their fine form with a 2-0 home win over Maidstone – Jason Prior bagging a brace for the Rocks.

A stoppage-time equaliser from Louis Bell earned Horndean a well-deserved 2-2 draw in their Wessex League clash with Totton & Eling.

Also in the premier division, Fareham Town crashed to a frustrating 2-1 defeat against Downton – the away side’s substitute Harvey Coker scoring a 94th-minute winner.

Elsewhere, Gosport Borough were left frustrated as their Southern League south & west clash at leaders Bideford was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
